Many years ago I constructed an infinite family of hyperbolic knots that admit a half integral toroidal Dehn surgery, that is, a surgery that produces a manifold containing an essential torus. The construction was made by means of tangles and double branched covers. Some years later, Gordon and Luecke proved that this family consists of all knots with a non-integral toroidal surgery.Now I give an explicit construction of some of these knots, that is, a direct construction of the knots, without using double branched covers. http://www.matem.unam.mx/fsd/mario Mario EUDAVE [
